I Can't Believe She's 10!!!

We held Boo's 10th party yesterday at the theater. We watched Tangled with 11 other little ones. Its a pretty cute movie, if you haven't seen it I suggest you do! Boo is one of those kids who puts others first. She loves animals and aspire's to be a Veterinarian when she grows up. For the last 2 years she has done a donation birthday party requesting that her friends bring a donation for an animal foundation that she loves. This year she is donating to the ARF (animal rescue foundation) here in Calgary.  She's very excited to go next weekend to deliver the donations! Thank you to all who assisted in raising some amazing funds for a great foundation!

Boo got her nickname for the Disney/Pixar movie Monster's inc as when she was a toddler she looked just like Boo in the movie! She's a very sensitive 10 year old who get's her feelings hurt easily but knows how to pick her friends well. She's a 2nd year Girl Guide and celebrated her 6th year in guiding this September. She can't wait until she's old enough to volunteer at the animal rescue foundation and start helping animals!

I've constantly been called a mean mommy for not letting her have hoards of animals but where we live doesn't allow for animals at this time. If she was allowed she'd have Cats, Dogs, hampsters, guinnea pigs and so on...right now we settle for the fact that our Day home provider has 2 dogs, 3 cats and works with the MEOW foundation lol...

I'm excited with what 10 years old holds for her and to watch her grow and become a sweet young lady. She is my firstborn and likes to think she's a teenager already but also likes to be mama's little girl! She's a great big sister and takes good care to make sure her little sister knows what she has to do, even helping when her sister doesn't want her to ha ha....
