So as my last post sounded sooooo grouchy this one will rectify that. We went in to the school early the next morning to speak with the teacher and principal to make sure what ever happened got straightened out.
Monkey sat in the chair and told the principal that the little boy took her snack and didn't give it back when she asked. The principal asked her if she saw him take it and she said no. The principal promised to look into it right away and get back to me and also to call the parents of the other child. I received that call at 3 pm at work. The principal spoke with the little boy who insisted he did not take the snack from monkey's bag. She also talked with Monkey again who finally said that she had accidentally put the snack into his back pack.
The night before Monkey and Boo had spent the night at their Nana's house and Auntie packed their snacks in a regular plastic bag. The girls didn't put them into their lunch bags and Monkey accidentally put that plastic bag into the back pack next to hers while getting something out of her bag. She didn't say that to anyone! the little boy figured it was his snack he was eating.
So it's all straightened out. Monkey accidentally and inadvertently gave her snack to this little boy and then when he didn't give it back she viewed it as he took it. We talked after about how it's wrong to say he took it when he really didn't and that if someone had said she did something that she didn't do how upset she'd be. She agreed and promised to tell the whole story next time.
The end.
